Life at North Church During COVID Restrictions
Friends,
Below is information about what life at North Church will look like while we are under restrictions because of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Communications: The most up-to-date communications will be through our Social Media channels:
Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/NorthChurchABQ
Instagram - @Northchurchabq
I know some of you aren’t on social media, and important announcements will still go out through traditional means like: Sunday announcements, Church Community Builder (CCB), and blog posts on the website. But if you want to stay immediately up-to-date with ongoing announcements, for this season, please consider using one of these social media services.
We also created a private chat room for the people of North Church to use. As you hear of needs, have questions, prayer requests, encouragements, and so on, please jump on there and engage with one another.

If you need to send a private message to the elders or need help with any of the communication channels, please e-mail Pastor Jay (j.kennedy@northchurchabq.com).
Services: Currently we are meeting online only. We’ll do another online service this Sunday at https://northchurch.online.church/. Services will be at 9 am and 11 am as usual. As always, the sermon will also be posted to the website after services.
You can expect us to continue with online-only Sunday services for the next few Sundays. Please stay tuned as we seek to stay up-to-date with developing information and recommendations and make decisions regarding services accordingly.
Community Groups: As you are able, please continue to gather together, keeping in mind a desire to protect one another and the public health by using common sense and following government recommendations regarding group gatherings.
Community Service: We are blessed that within our body we are diverse in almost every conceivable category. Consequently, some are in need right now and some can serve.
If you need help, follow this link: I NEED HELP. Your request will be private, and the elders will seek to connect you with someone who can best serve you.
If you can help, follow this link: I CAN HELP. We will do our best to connect you with someone who has needs you are able to help with.
We are currently exploring how we might serve our community at large. Our existing partnership with Arroyo Del Oso Elementary School through Shine School Partnerships is a priority. Serving with Shine will probably look like providing food for families in need with the potential of hosting a pop-up food bank at the church or something along those lines. Stay tuned for more information on serving in this capacity.
Devotionals: In this time of restriction, we will endeavor to post devotions Monday through Friday on the North Church Blog and our social media pages. There will be short Instagram/FB stories to accompany them. Please use this resource to stay focused on the Lord during this time.
Family Worship Resources: Because many of you have children home from school, Pastor Jay and Jess Kennedy will be providing family worship resources Monday through Friday using North Church’s Instagram/Facebook stories.
Know that your elders are praying for you and trusting the Lord and his goodness to use us to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our city during this time of restriction.
Remember, when you treasure the Gospel you want to give it away to others. So, my friends, treasure Jesus and his glorious Gospel.
In Christ,
Pastor Ryan
