Family Ministry Director
The primary role of the Family Ministry Director at City on a Hill Church is to oversee and execute all responsibilities of multiple ministries that impact and affect children, youth, and their families at City on a Hill, under the direction of the Elder Team.
As Family Ministry Director, you are responsible for managing part-time staff members and volunteers who currently lead or serve in our children and youth ministries. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing family discipleship resources and training for in-home discipleship under the vision of City on a Hill Church.
The successful applicant will be highly gifted in administration skills, leadership, and should have a keen mind for theological clarity in content and practical discipleship application.

Job Description:
- Leads in a Christ-like manner in relationships – exhibiting love, humility, and a readiness to serve.
- Will work with City on a Hill’s elders to implement a clear vision for children’s, youth, and family ministries.
- Oversees, under the direction of the Executive Pastor, a budget for all Family Ministries.
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Recruit, train, schedule, and equip Family Ministries Coaches and Leaders across all ministry responsibilities.
- Assume responsibility for implementing Gospel-Centered Curriculum in various Family Ministries.
- Responsible for the planning and execution of special events, retreats, and weekly gatherings for children, youth, and families.
Required Skills:
- A committed and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- Communication skills in teaching and applying Scripture in both small group, family, and 1:1 pastoral/discipleship situations.
- A demonstrated ability to connect with families, children, and students.
- Ability to lead, develop, and disciple leaders through coaching, mentoring, and example.
- Strong literary and computer skills including traditional written messages and social media engagement.
- Ability to work well under an established vision while using initiative and creativity to achieve goals.
- Strong administrative and personnel management skills including strong and clear communication with leaders, volunteers, and members including cross-functional leadership and coordination between ministries, as needed, to support the Family Ministries.
