Pastor Ryan Williams

Lead Pastor - Elder - Staff

Ryan has a Master of Letters (MLitt) in Historical Theology from the William Tennent School of Theology. He is also the director of Am I Called Ministries and the host of the Older Pastor/Younger Pastor podcast. He’s been married to Natasha since 2012 and they have two boys, Jack and Alec. In his spare time he enjoys training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, hunting, fishing, and making homemade sausages.

Pastor Bob Paulsen

Volunteer Pastor - Elder

Bob grew up in Houston, Texas but has lived in Albuquerque over 40 years.  He worked at Sandia National Labs for 39 years, retiring in December 2020.  Bob has attended City on a Hill Church and its predecessors since the beginning of the church and has served as a pastor of the church for over 10 years.  Bob is married to Joyce and they have 4 married children, 1 daughter-in-law and 9 grandchildren.  Bob and Joyce enjoy visiting their grandchildren, playing tennis, and pickleball.

Pastor Nathan Stimson

Volunteer Pastor - Elder

Originally from East Texas, Nathan moved to New Mexico in early 2005.  Since 2010, he has been a licensed attorney and works at a law firm in downtown Albuquerque where he practices primarily in the areas of civil and commercial litigation.  He enjoys running, bike rides in the Bosque, and playing acoustic guitar. He and his wife Stephany have four boys and live in Albuquerque's North Valley. 

Pastor Kenyon Schlenker

Volunteer Pastor - Elder

Kenyon is a lay pastor here. He practices as a CPA in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Schlenker & Cantwell, PA.  Kenyon and his wife Zoe have four adult children and four beautiful grandchildren. Kenyon, an avid sports fan, coached various sports for many years and he now enjoys being a spectator at numerous sporting events. 

Paul Hamrick

Worship Ministry Director - Staff

Paul has been serving in various worship and production roles here at City on a Hill since 2014 and was brought on as Worship Director in 2021. Paul is bivocational, working a day job in ecommerce retail. He also sits on the board of Daystar Institute, a local nonprofit missioned with equipping pastors with doctrinal training and resources for serving the needy in East Africa. Paul is native to Albuquerque and enjoys hiking, climbing, and photography. 

Pastor Dan Miller

Discipleship Pastor - Elder - Staff

Dan grew up in Oregon and placed his faith in Jesus as a young boy. He has had the privilege of being discipled by a number of godly men throughout his life, which cultivated a passion for helping others become passionate followers of Jesus and disciple makers. Dan has been married to Cora for 36 years. They have 2 adult children who are married, 1 grandson and 2 foster grandkids. Dan enjoys a number of outdoor hobbies which include hiking, camping, fly fishing, hunting, skiing, and competitive shooting. 

Pastor Justin Chaplin

Family Ministries Pastor - Elder - Staff

Justin is a lifetime resident of New Mexico, where he enjoys the beautiful outdoors, the amazing food, and the state's rich culture. He is married to Deneen, and they have three children, Aiden, Sarai, and Eliza, and expect baby number 4 in December! Justin has been in vocational ministry for over ten years and is pursuing a Masters of Letters (MLitt) in Historical Theology from William Tennent School of Theology. Justin loves teaching God's word, spending time with friends and family, and hunting when he gets the opportunity.

Alexia Hugaboom

City Kids Ministry Coordinator - Staff

Alexia, mostly known as Lexi, plans and organizes a fun, engaging, gospel-centered children’s program for our City Kids Ministry.  Lexi has worked with children and families for 17 years in a variety of certified programs both public and private.  Lexi is married to Jeff and they have four children; Ethan, Emiana, Eshton, and Elam.  She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, photography and baking cakes. 

Greg Bump

Director of Finance and Facility Management - Staff

Greg has served as an Elder of the church for 7 years prior to entering semi-retirement. A life-long resident of Albuquerque, Greg has an associate degree in Electronics and a BS in Business Management. He worked in the Aerospace industry for almost 30 years before entering full-time ministry in 2012. He received his ministry training from the Resurgence Training Center in Seattle, Washington. Greg and his wife, Ruthanne, have four children and six grandchildren. Greg loves music, woodworking, camping, fishing, and his hobby farm, which includes raising livestock and growing crops.

Jocelyn Hall

Communications Director - Staff

Originally from Albuquerque, Jocelyn’s background includes teaching elementary school for 9 years and coaching volleyball for nearly 16 years. Jocelyn’s husband D’Albert Hall is from Las Vegas, Nevada where they lived for many years. They have three children, Almaya, Jaydee, and Dwayne. While caring for her family, she currently coaches volleyball at Albuquerque High School. In Jocelyn’s free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, reading, watching sports, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ellie Barndt

Communication and Operational Support Associate - Staff

Ellie has been attending City on a Hill with her husband, Andrew since May 2022. She earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico in 2022. She currently helps make the graphics for the church, and helps with other various communications roles if needed. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, baking, taking care of plants, photography, and other art related activities.
